Delco McEvoy, Restaurant Leader
Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario but raised in Vancouver, Del began a four year serving stint at Langley Earls in 1991. From there he moved on to the Restaurant Leader position at Guildford Earls for a year followed by four years as the Restaurant Leader in Port Coquitlam. Del then decided to switch things up and try his hand in the IT department at Earls Head Office where he solved all problems technical for the next three years. After conquering all aspects of Earls in Vancouver, Del moved east to Calgary where he was the RL at Bankers Hall then Willow Park then back to Bankers Hall to open up V's predecessor, Fuel! An avid fan of the Canucks, golf, and anything vodka, Del is the ultimate Kevin Bacon of Earls Restaurants!
Joel Bailey, Executive Chef
Joel hails from the town of Fogo, a beautiful fishing community of 900 people on a secluded island off of Newfoundland's north east coast. He headed west to Manitoba for college then kept on moving to Calgary where he wandered through the doors at Earls Barlow to apply as a dish washer. With nothing more than a freshly acquired address and a will to get to know some great people, Joel found exactly what he was looking for at Earls. He also found an opportunity unlike any other; the opportunity to be the Head Chef at a restaurant and Joel made it his mission to climb the ranks. Now, six short years later, and having held Chef, Sous Chef and trainer positions at four of Calgary's seven locations, Joel's passion for great food and great guest experiences has only grown and he looks forward to continuing to provide both in the years to come.
Angela Biollo, Night Leader
Born and raised in Calgary, Angela began her career in the hospitality industry at Earls Bankers Hall in 2006 while completing her Bachelor of Commerce, with a major in Marketing/Tourism Management. Angela started out as a lounge server but was soon promoted to take on the role of Lounge Leader. In January 2008, her studies took her abroad to Milan, Italy where she was able to explore Europe on her time off from school. After returning to Calgary to complete her degree she also returned to Earls but this time as a bartender at Fuel. This past February she was promoted to the Night Leader position and is looking forward to being a part of the success of V Calgary!
Dave Bowden, Bar Leader
Dave ended up in Calgary by way of Belfast, Northern Ireland and after high school pursued a degree in business at Mount Royal College. His hospitality career began as an expo at Joey Tomato's at the age of 17 and throughout college he performed almost every front of house job possible. On a whim, Dave followed his friends to Australia to enjoy the sun, the beach and a year off his studies. One month later he was mixing cocktails and martinis on Australia's Gold Coast and it was here that Dave developed his passion for bartending. He quickly learned that to be a successful bartender in Australia required a lot more effort, drink knowledge and hard work than ever before. Dave returned home in 2007 with two Aussie bartenders in tow and a new passion for classic cocktails created using original methods. He has been with V in Calgary since its opening and he looks forward to bringing a little bit of Australia to the Canadian hospitality industry.
Alison Robertson, Regional Marketing Manager
Raised in Calgary, Alison has been working in the restaurant and bar industry for the past 12 years in a variety of positions from busser to manager as well as in Sales & Marketing. It all began at Earls 16th Avenue when she decided to take a year off after high school and make some extra money before heading south to Argentina to travel for six months. She enjoyed her time at Earls so much that upon her return to Calgary she worked at the Westhills location while completing her Communications Degree with a focus in Journalism. After three years of school and work, the travelling bug caught up to her again and she spent the next three years serving, bartending and managing in the Cayman Islands and St.Maarten. Back in Canada she landed in Vancouver for a couple of years where she continued to work in the restaurant and bar industry in sales & marketing. A Calgary girl through and through, she made her way back home and back to Earls where she continues to pursue her passions of food, drink and meeting new people, all of which she gets to experience everyday with Earls.
